Philly Flow Academy is a community-rooted space for fire and movement artists — offering workshops, mentorship, and support for every level.
Founded by Alicia Talia in 2024 and funded by Fund the Flow Arts in 2025, PFA was created to meet a real need: an affordable, consistent place to train, grow, and move in the Flow Arts world.
We’re not a studio — we’re an artist-led initiative built to uplift the community we’re part of for 1.5 years.
(Yes, we light things on fire — but always with intention. It’s art.)
Train at your own pace. From first-timers to performers, our classes range from level 99 (beginner) to 104 (Expert).
Each workshop is led by experienced instructors with real-world backgrounds in performance, movement, and holding space.
No gatekeeping. No fluff. Just skill, flow, and the occasional dropped prop. (It happens.)
We teach more than tricks — we teach process, safety, and creative discipline.
We believe in:
• Access: low-cost classes, volunteer exchange, and transparency
• Creativity: embodied learning, experimentation, and artistry
• Inclusion: centering those often excluded from fire & flow spaces
• Safety: bold, responsible training for long-term sustainability
You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to show up.
(But if you are perfect, we’ll still welcome you — and probably ask you to teach.)
We built this Academy for the artists who never got a formal invitation. For the curious folks who want to learn but didn’t know where to start. For the performers who are tired of figuring everything out on their own.
If you're ready to move with intention, connect with others, and grow your craft — welcome. You belong here.
